The short version

We don't track you, we don't profile you, and we don't sell anything about you — ever. This site collects almost nothing: anonymous page-view counts, a theme preference stored in your own browser, and whatever you choose to email us.

Who we are

Luma is an education company built by Blacklink, Inc. ("Blacklink", "we", "us"). This policy covers this website (including the Kivo pages) and applies to our products as they launch. Questions? Email contact@blacklink.net.

What this website collects

• Contact you initiate. When you email us (for example, to join the Kivo waitlist), we receive your message and address so we can reply. That's it.
• Anonymous analytics. We count page views with privacy-first, cookieless analytics hosted on our own infrastructure. We see totals — pages viewed, referrers, approximate region, browser and device type — never individuals.
• Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our servers briefly keep basic request logs for security and reliability.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site trackers. The only thing we store on your device is a light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your machine.

Third-party requests

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a direct request to Google's servers when rendering text. Our analytics run entirely on Blacklink-owned domains. We use no ad networks and no third-party trackers of any kind.

Student and school data

Our products, including Kivo, are built for schools. Where schools or districts use our products, they control their data, and we process it only to provide the service under a written agreement. This marketing website is separate: it contains no student records, and the interactive Kivo demo uses entirely fictional example data that is not stored or sent anywhere.

What we never do

• We never sell, rent, or trade personal information.
• We never build advertising profiles or follow you across sites.
• We never use student data to advertise — for any product, at any price.

Email retention and deletion

We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and maintain a simple record of it. Want a copy of what we have, a correction, or full deletion? Email contact@blacklink.net and we'll take care of it promptly.

Children's privacy

This website is aimed at educators and school leaders, not children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and note what changed on this page before the changes take effect.
